newbie’s project stealth.
hi people, a bit new to all this forum thing but i’ll give it a go,
im from across the pond in sunny england, ive had a stealth now for a year or so and think its time to do a bit of tweaking.
so far ive had a play around with the positioning of the top hat, put spacers in to compress the spring a bit more when its cocked and also machined myself a brass hammer which is a fair bit heavier than the standard one.
ive had a good read throu some of the topics on here, and it seems like the place to be for some serious tech advice, you guys really know ya stuff,
i was thinking that maybe the next step would be to uprate the main spring,as the one in it is a bit lame, would this be a good option? i also keep reading about blodnob valve’s and high flow valve’s. are these compatable with my gun and air tank and what exactly do they do?
i am also thinking of changing my standard barrel for something a bit longer, i currently have the standard 12inch .22. would changing to a smaller calibre increase the speed of pellet or would the other mods be enough to push the .22 out to fairly long range shots with a longer barrel.
basically im looking to be able to have enough poke and accuaracy to take out vermin at anything up to 100yds, is this achievable or am i asking to much of the gun?
cheers guys and i hope you can help me out.

Otherwise the mods you are talking about can put you in serious trouble with the law.
The unique looks of the Stealth already attract the attention of Mr Plod and if you are found with an unlicensed section one firearm (which is what an air rifle putting out more than 12 foot pounds energy is) then the brown sticky stuff can really hit the fan.
Not only that but there are a lot of “antis” about and every time there is a headline about irresponsible airgunners then it is another nail in the coffin of our sport.
yes ive got a firearms certificate, have done for many years, i know it would be a lot easier to just take out my .22 rimfire for shootin them pesky bunnies at range but id rather have a go at tuning the stealth to do the job.
