Newby questions on Condor

I found this forum about a month ago and got the condor bug. I haven’t got my condor yet, waiting for my income tax return. I have been making my list of what to buy, when the time comes, have a couple of questions.

I have access to a lathe and mill at work and have allready made my LDC, (thank you Riff Raff for PMing the added dimentions). Have an idea for additional baffels that will fit in the condor frame .

1) Does the stock condor end cap touch the barrel or is there a few thou clearance? Would like to know if accuracy will be effected if my internal baffels, made from soft plactic, touched the barrel lightly or if I need a few thou clearance.

2) Who makes the best bipod, value/cost?

Mac1 checks every condor that he sells, will switch the tank and valve with a talon tank/valve for lower fps but more shots before the fps starts dropping.

3) Do most of you use the standard condor tank, or go with the talon tank/valve setup? I plan to punch a lot of paper in my back yard. have room for a 35 yard range. Also plan on night shooting pigeons, under bridges out to 90yds.

4) Will any of the LED weapon lights put out enough light, at 90yds, to night shoot pigeons with a Nikko 6-24X56 Nighteater?

I haven’t decieded on going with HPA or nitrogen. Local welding supply can lease me a 300 CF 4500PSI nitrogen tank for $95 a year or $175 for 5 years. Cost of a refill is $60. Stopped by the local firehouse (GREAT bunce of guys, they had to show me all of their equiptment, I didn’t think that they would ever let me leave) they said that they would be happy to fill scuba tanks, that it was good public relations. They keep their system at 6000psi and will fill scba to 4500, scuba to 3500 or whatever psi I want. I would like to get a 4500psi scba tank but, damn those are expensive!
