Nice find while shooting
Had great weekend at friends cabin in El Dorado National Forrest by Loon Lake.
Spending time hanging out fishing and shooting.
Had my nephew with me enjoying the Edguns at 20-100 yds just plinking.
Walking back from changing targets I hear a tick tick tick so I stop.
Look down and this little guy just slid under a rock. I call my nephew over and I flip the rock.
Nice little two pod baby about a foot long. I relocate him to another area away from our targets

I know. The babies have no venom control to their bite. Full dump. That’s why I always relocate the babies at least 50 yds away.
My nephew asked if I was going to kill it. I asked him why. It’s just a baby and doing no harm and besides this is its home area.
Great job Demp! Many people would have killed it. I was born during the year of the snake(1977) so you would think I would be fearless and welcome them but no, I am scared sh*tless of them. Many times they would slither underneath my fence and into my yard from the conservation area. I know they are just as scared as I am when we bump into each other. I have never killed them, but I have used a stick to fling them as far as I can over the fence hoping they won’t come back.
Watch those little ones, they are more dangerous than their elders.
A ‘friend’ had a mother and baby in an aquarium, he would feed them live mice. Mom would hit the mouse and it would still be moving around, a little slower than before but still moving. She had to hit it a few times before it died. The baby would hit a mouse and before that thing fell to the ground it was completely dead, legs straight out like it was hit by a bolt of lightning… 😯
