Night vision filters and IR spotslights?
is that an effective night vision solution?

I just bought the Yukon NVMT 2X24 but instead of using the adapter that you showed above, I went with the Yukon NVMT Adapter for daytime riflescope. With this set-up, I still use my existing scope and just install the Yukon NVMT 2X24 with the Yukon NVMT Adapter for daytime riflescope behind my existing scope. I did not have to zero my scope again, I can switch between day shooting and night varmint hunting without having to zero my scope every time.
