Q:

Night Vision for use with Day Scope =)

I cant wait to test my new setup I have coming in the mail on Tuesday!

Ordered Yukon NVMT 2×24 and Yukon NVMT Night Adapter for optical riflescope.

They should work pretty well together on my Bushy Legend 5-5×40 scope.

I will post pictures and feedback as soon as I have a chance to use them next week =)

I didnt have a single night critter in past couple weeks that wanted to eat out of my “bait station”

didnt have much chance to use it =(

but its ready for them when they come 👿

Hey,

Glad to hear it’s working out for you. If you have a 30mm tube on your scope you get brighter image as well.

All the things that help are IR illuminators, or strong quality output illuminators, scopes with 56mm objective lens and 30mm tubes will really increase distance and brightness.

They all work, depends what you are doing I suppose.

Let us know how your night hunting goes.

➡ Post #10 in this thread. I quoted prices and place where to get it.

I would say Value for the Money is GREAT. for 109 and 179 you get the setup that is easily removable and you can use it on any of your other rifles/scopes.

You also get hand held night vision too if you need it.

I didnt have to move the scope or anything as it its not permanent install by any means, but it works pretty good for occasional night hunt =)

There is really no eye relieve so you almost have to touch it with your eyebrow to get a good picture.

But it WORKS and its very mobile.

I got Adapter (comes with IR light) from RedSoldier.com for $109 (free shipping)

Yukon NVMT 2×24 I got from DigitalFotoClub.com for $179 (free shipping)

Both got here very fast.

how much is the total cost of that set up.
can you get everything at one place? where?
racoons beware! I have one dumping my garbage regularly and if I leave a light on he does not come out. I have seen his eyes in the sewer watching waiting for the light to go off. with this his lights would go off!

and would you know if it would work with the yukon ranger ?

I have a few questions,

how is the size of the pic your viewing ? Is it a lot smaller?

Is there a video input jack ?

could you mount your illumanator under the barrel? or would it mess up your sight pic?

Setup works great! I dont have a huge backyard, but I can snipe the rats off the window from 23 yards with no issues! and now in complete darkness.

The eye relief is non existent, but not an issue with our “no recoil” rifles.

So I think this setup is GREAT! Quick attach and removal plus ability easily use it on different rifles/scopes.

I am pretty happy with it.

That is just great!!! I was wishing you were going to report that it was junk and did not work so I did not have to add ANOTHER thing to my list of “must haves…” 😯

Hey FD,can you post some pix of that set up on your gun, from other side and top

Put a laser on it and they are excellent.

Dipol L3 or N800/351 etc.

I just got a Dipol L3 and its awesome… now I just need my scope back from Elcan 🙁

I can say that the setup works very well, but a good IR Illuminator is key. The one that comes with the Yukon is adequate, but certainly not ideal.

I use the illuminator from my Paladin 390 with the Yukon setup behind a scope and it works great. Not Gen3 quality, but very good.

The long mounting rail on our guns allow for us to be able to slide the day scope forward enough to make eye relief a non issue.

I dont use mine much any more and I’ve never done pics with it, but I know that there were plenty of pics and video’s on the TOG at one point.

Interested here as well. I actually have that same NV monocular, it doesn’t get much use, maybe if that thing works I’ll put it on my condor.

I want to see a group shot at midnight. 🙂 Also interested in the eye relief, I know our guns don’t kick much, but having it right up to your eye is kinda scary.

LET US KNOW!!

I am also very interested in hearing how this works for you. Please give us a report.

Thanks
