Or, is it actually one question in disguise, which requires four answers?

Why not spend $38.00 for a Chinese 300 Lumen LED tac light and mount it beneath your scope, but aimed so the crosshairs are centered in the brightest part of the beam? Works great with my 10X Millet. All I had to do was fix a short Weaver mount to my foregrip with two small screws. Now I can add or remove any Weaver mount device I want to my humble rig. Both 300 lumen tac light and short Weaver mount are available on Ebay.

The ND3 is probably great for 100 meters or more at night, but who shoots that distance with a PCP? Further, remember this thing is nothing more than a focusable green laser that indicates exactly where the shooter is, and where he is aiming. Not information I want readily available to my cop calling neighbors.

I personally have tried both add-on NV, and dedicated NV rifle scopes. With adequate IR light, they can be effective at night for close range, but the image is crap compared to the 3rd and 4th generation NV devices which few of us can afford.

I think each shooter has to ask himself only one (1) question:

-What am I shooting,
-How far am I shooting,
-How much privacy do I want,
-How much am I willing to spend to achieve that goal?

Home-made Gen 5+ Arkansas NV….$50.00 or less. Thumb screw removable in 15 seconds.

At night, my 10X reticule is dead on in the center spot of that beam, and I can shoot the nuts off a gnat at 100 feet. Coyotes and deer sized animals quite a bit further than that. Or so rumor says…

That’s my two cents worth.

rephrase the question please.

He wants to know which is better, the Yukon NVMT Night Vision Monocular mounted behind a riflescope or the Laser Genetics ND3 Laser “designator”.

I havent used an ND3 (or the 7)…. so cant say.

rephrase the question please.
