I have that one. Its good, but at the higher mags its only ok….
Ahhh – I had one a while ago, dont remember much about it, but anything glaringly wrong with it I’d recall I hope (Like I remember that a Leapers 3-12×44 I had sucked balls on all zoom levels) which I guess I take as a good sign.

Rowdy, if you hated the 8-32 Leapers you wont like the 8-32 Centerpoint as they are just re-badged Leapers.
I have been wanting a new scope for my Condor as well and I have been wondering about the Bushnell 6500 4.5-30 mildot… Any of you guys messed with them on an air rifle… They are somewhat expensive, but I have seen them for around 600 bucks at times…
Then what about the MTC Viper in the 8-32X60, its suppose to have really good recticle for air rifles, but honestly I have never got to look through one or know anyone who has… You guys???
Then there is the CenterPoint of the 8-32X56, its more in the price range here??? Anyone know anything on these???
The accushot 8-32 scope I know its price is cheap enough, they junk scopes when on the higher power???
I just would hate to spend 250 bucks on glass and not get something you can use… That sure would be a waste of funds 🙁 🙁 🙁 I don’t figure anyone here would want to either…
Well, We just put the big Night Eater on my buddy’s condor today.
At any kind of decent power it SUCKED! 👿
The Falcon M. is a good scope. You may or may not like a first focal plane scope for an air gun. As you crank up the power, it (The Ret. gets HUGE) easily blocking out tiny air gun target aiming points. It does however, make miling much easier at different powers. (second plane scopes only properly mill at one power, where as a ffp ret, will mill at any power the exact same).
The SS scopes like the 10X are fantastic in a .308 type special purpose tactical gun, But lack a LOT of what we are looking for in a AG Scope.
A real pain in the ass if quick close in hunting shots. especially on moving game. It just isn’t what they are designed for. A good variable works for us a lot better.

The SWFA SS 20×42 is a rear focus/parallax, Probably not a good choice for Field Target.
The Hawke 8-32 side focus/parallax is the better choice.

I don’t think of the SWFA SS 10×42 as High mag or Field Target.
So for High Mag and Field target : Falcon 5-25×50 FFP with ML16 reticle …..!

For your price range you might want to look at the Falcon Menace 4-14 x 44 First Focal Plane, Side focus, Mil dot, Tactical Scope @ $395.00 WOW? More than likely it’s a MIC scope, but most here don’t really care bout that. FFP scopes mil dots work with any Magnification you choose! Second Focal Plane scopes mil dot only work at the specified single magnification on a variable scope, Duh?

BTW the SWFA SS 10x42M Tactical is an outstanding scope for the money, can’t use on springer, but good all others, air/powder, 10 to 1000 yards. Not good for running game, but I don’t hunt running game, do you? Night hunting not legal here so not a requirement for me either. If it’s running,it game for hunting another day, eh!
I use an SWFA 10×42 Tactical, rear parallax on my condor for Varmint hunting and plinking and am very happy with it.

Where does the optics on the 8-32 start to get fuzzy or cloudy at anyway??? You get over 28 power before it starts or where…
Thanks for the info also, I have had a hard time trying to figure out what glass I really would like to get next…
I don’t have a single scope that is more than the 25X level right now, I sold all the really high power glass I have several years ago… Right now I just would like to find one good scope in and/or around the 8-32 power range, just one that I can use to glass things up really close to help ID things better, so clarity is a biggy thing…
Then unfortunately for me as many others here I am sure, my budget gets in the way as well… Thanks again for sharing the info on this glass…
