nitro piston
I have had several springers that I had a problem uncocking. I just bought a crosman nitro venum dusk and can’t uncock it. Is there a trick to uncocking the nitro piston. Thanks

I love my Talon but springers sure have their place. Not having to worry about shot counts, psi, scuba tanks, etc. I just bought my 12 year old a new nitro piston Benjamin in .22 for his birthday on the 12th and I can’t wait to try it out.

I too left sproingers behind. One day I may end up with one again, but doubtful.
…from what I have read, nitro piston guns do not need to be un-cocked. That is supposed to be one of the advantages of an NP gun.
Personally, I solved that problem by going to PCP guns. 😉 First was the TSS, then a .25 Marauder, AirArms S410, etc.. I just don’t shoot springers very well and have no desire to. But that’s me.

Yea I tried that. It seems they are trying to make it unsafer.
Unless there is a “safety” mechanism that prevents such, you should be able to cock the barrel fully and SECURELY holding the barrel and stock, pull the trigger and carefully ease the barrel up.
More and more, litigation is eliminating natural selection.

I was thinking of something like a Beeman R7 or a FWB 300. But then I have my Edge which covers the plinking range and my TSS which covers the HP range and my Izzy for when I want to plink with a pistol. I don’t have the time to shoot these as much as I want.
