no one will fill my tank!!!???
i live in virginia, virginia beach area. and all of the dive shops around me will not fill paintball style tanks?????? and the only paintball shop in the area has a tank that is filled to 4500 psi its self so he does not really have the capability to fill to 4500 psi just for example i went in just after he opened and he told me he only had about 4000 psi left he could only fill my tank to about 3800-3900.
where the heck can i get a full 4500 psi fill????????
also after about 2 hours my tanks gauge dropped to 3100 from 3850 psi. it dropped i would say like 700-800 psi. is this normal ?
i am guessing the dive shops wont fill my tank because there are just so many people that want to do this. or maybe i should be telling them that i have a carbonfiber tank not a paintball tank? i dont know do you guys have any ideas?

I’ll tell you the problem with using the FD to fill your bottle we used humidified air Dry air is impossible to breathe and it would totally be brutal to work hard and try to breathe dry air. We run about 30 % on our humidity for filling SCBAs. Now if I know you and you didn’t try to bribe me with bullshit donuts I would disconnect the humidifier for your personal fill. Fast fill doesn’t really hurt the botttles. They are way over built anyway.

Before my compressors I went to the local fire chief (over three different stations) and he let me go to all of them for free. I sometimes lubed them with Krispy Kreme donuts. The problem was those folks love to talk and I often spent an hour or more there. They even asked me to bring a gun one time. I have two SCBA tanks (I bought 2007’s two years old for $200 each) so they are familiar with them. They always filled them to 4700-4800 like their own and they cooled to 4400-4500. Those faster fills are a bit more wear on the tanks IMO than our slower compressors. I am in rural Missouri where folks tend to be very nice and I suspect any fire house would help because a different firehouse used to fill our large paintball steel tanks for a friends field. I notice it is much tougher in the NE to get anything free or otherwise from many posts. Folks in big cities just seem to hate everyone. They only like their money. 😆
Hell I just walked in told them what I wanted and they filled it. But they could only fill to 3600 psi…. :sadn: No reason to go back after that.
That’s probably why. Is it one of the Ninja/Air Venturi setups? Most dive shops won’t have the adapter to fill that, and some won’t even know what the hell a Foster fitting is. Paintball shop should have no problems filling with Foster. You *might* be able to sweet talk a dive shop with cool staff to fill your setup with a female Foster to female 300 bar DIN adapter. Would give PA a call as they have two adapters listed, not sure if the second one is 300 bar or 200 or what…

So I was also wondering how much the cricket gauge and the tank gauge can differ from each other?
with my tank showing 3000 psi it will only fill my gun to 155 bar. But my tank is supposed to be output regulated to 2900psi. ANd I have let it sit for about 5mins with valve open.
can the 2 gauges be as much as 600 psi different from each other or is my tank not regulated right. Ect..

I agree with a lot of that, Seem a lot of 16 year old paint ball idiots really screwed up the fill stations for us PCP gun people.
I went through so much crap in the last 1& 1/2 years I decided to buy my own compressor,,,
I will say everyone that seen my great white from Joe was impressed with the tank, Some of them still refused to fill it , But were impressed,,,
I plan to buy me a small tank 80 CI and it would be the same price to fill my Great white 35 bucks…. I know I know fill the small tank from the great white.
