Noob ?
I currently am shooting a benjamin trail np all weather in . 22. I am wondering how much more accuracy and performance will I get out of an airforce rifle in the same caliber? If I do my part that is.

Its crazy I was just saying I like this rifle. I went to shoot it this am and there is zero power. Checked my receipt I bought it on 4-21. Looks like I will have to rebuild it or bring it back.
Wow that is pricey. I haven’t shot this rifle over a crony so I’m not sure the fps but it shoots pretty damn good. How does it do at 495a fps?
Up here in Canada that gun is 460 including tax and only at 495FPS I am guessing yours is around 900FPS so way better than mine.:)
PCP is the top level I am guessing..:)))
I did put a centerpoint 4-16×40 scope on it and a different trigger. After I did all of that I had about 400 into it and I thought damn I should have bought a pcp rifle. Even so I think I’ll keep it . I kind of feel like I overpaid for it I didn’t realize I could have gotten it cheaper somewhere else. The rifle and original scope was 279
I really like the benjamin trail it has no trouble out to 50 yards. I have shot a 2 liter bottle with it at 100 yards. I made the one hundred yard shot using the benjamin pcp pellets. I shoot crossman premier hp out of it now and it has been an effective deterent on the starlings.
I have the same gun as you but it is limited to 495FPS were I Live.
Stepping up to a Gamo at 1300 FPS IGT .177 is so much more awesome.
The IGT guns still have more moving parts than a PCP, So you should see some AWESOMENESS!!!
I can not imaging what a Condor .22/.25 how much better it would be than really a cheap Crossman gun:)
Tickles
Thanks guys I definately appreciate the advice. If I had to choose one mod to make the rifle more accurate what would you suggest. From what I can understand an aftermarket stock might be a good starting point.
I think the accuracy of the gun out of the box is amazing. I’m sure there are others who say this gun or that gun is better nut for my dollar it was well spent and down the road there are plenty of modifications that can be done (I like to refer to the gun as the ar-15 of the air rifle world because of all of the different accessories for it) but the two tips I will give you are
1.shoot through as many different pellets as you can, each gun is a little different from the next.
2. Read through the forum you will find a plethora of helpful information
Oh, and IDK on the .22 but with the .25 I was in need of a shroud so keep that in mind if you do any city shooting.
Lastly welcome to the page 😀

Thanks for the advice. One more? If you don’t mind. Is this type of accuracy achievable with a factory rifle.
The difference between a springer and a PCP in felt recoil is significant.
Shooting a PCP is almost like pointing your finger and going “bang” and having a pellet hit your target.
Airforce states that 1″ groups at 50 yards is achievable.
In my experience, a good shooter can do this fairly easily with an AF rifle.
When I had my .22 barrel installed, 1/2″ at 50 yards was fairly common but these guns can be finicky. Once you learn how to adjust them, great things happen.
I guess what I’m asking is this nitro piston rifle is way smoother shooting than the springers I’m used to. How much smoother shooting is a pcp rifle.

Looks like the retailer where I bought this rifle is going to take care of it
