Noob question!
I am really enjoying my new Talon. It is going to take a while to learn this gun. I have been running 18.13 JSB at ~900 fps. Sighted in a 30yards and shooting 3/8″ groups.
So yesterday I wanted to see what would happen if I loosened the hammer spring. I went from 6.2 to 5.2 on the tension. I start feeding 18 gr Jsbs through the gun and all of the sudden my POI is a dot high at 30. It still groups well. I did not get the chrony out to check the velocity (maybe tomorrow if the wind stops blowing), but I seems strange to me that I could loosen the hammer spring and increase velocity.
I expected the POI to drop. Even if for some reason I am getting more velocity I have a hard time understanding a full dot move.
Is this much change in a POI normal from a small hammer spring move?
Or is there something else going on?
BTW Thanks to WalkonKing and others. Learning how to hold this gun has really helped. Every time I see Walk’s avatar I feel like he is scolding me. 😀 Charles Bronson looks like he knows I am ignorant about this stuff. 😯

The power wheel is really just a hammer spring tensioner.
Moving the power wheel will help find the sweet spot for your gun.
But to be honest a chrono is needed to see what that sweet spot is.
