Q:

Number Of US Crickets? Any Problems? Looking At A Std 25 BP

Can anyone conjure a guess as to how many Crickets have made it into the US so far?

My Cricket says #000461 so I guess it was the 461st built at the CZ plant? I know they started shipping the CZ manufacturered ones maybe last September to other countries first like NZ (glad I didn’t get one of the firsts πŸ™‚ ). It sounds like mine was one of the first with the numbered pressure gauge. I am assuming the .22 standards are the most common being made but it seems as if there are a lot of airguns being produced.

I just passed the 400 shot mark on my std .22. Given the features (side lever, magazine, spectacular trigger and regulator, cheek rest, and accuracy) it is a very impressive BP indeed.

Anyone have any failures due to manufacturing? I am contemplating a std .25 bullpup now (before the prices get any higher and since it is bonus time of the year πŸ˜€ ) and am trying to get a feeling for both competitors. Also, 30 cals tend to be even louder and a little too powerful for backyard fun. My .25 Condor with the modded valve and Surefires is like shooting s 22 LR. Just too much.

By the performance of mine I would call the quality control outstanding but maybe it is the exception. Even my Daystate arrived with an issue.

Any input/overall experiences from Crickets owners is appreciated. There is tons of stuff in the archives on the Edguns so I have a knowledge base there.

Thanks,
Brant

New Pictures of the CZ KalibrGun Team at the NΓΌrnberg IWA 2013 event. These folks look like they are pretty serious about their business. πŸ™‚

I see they offer an adjustable pad in Russia.

They are brand new. It just went up on the AOA web site two weeks ago. Give them a brake. πŸ™‚

Actually, not Airguns of Arizona, but rather Topgun Airguns (also located IN Arizona) are the importer.

My .22 Compact is an earlier batch. #278 with the old style color gauge. No issues but then again I only have 200 rounds through it. I recall Boris saying they where on or going on the 4th shipment? They are selling well despite being expensive. I think Air Guns of Arizona is the major importer?

Ahh ok, well that explains why he didn’t mention anything. You could always jump on the edgun train, Tony told me that they should be shipping within the next couple weeks, not to mention that Ed said that this shipment should take care most of everyone, how much truth is to that I’m not sure but that would be nice. I have a 25 Cal standard on order from him, lower shot count but same FPS at the muzzle as the long, should be a fun test.

As I understand it the std .25 is a special order at the moment. Probably a wait to it. Less shot count and a bit less power than the long. I am not sure which one I want yet. I sure wouldnt want to wait months.

To be honest when I was ordering the rifle he was going over the options and he never said anything about a variant 25 cal other than the stock. Not saying there isn’t one, it’s just he didn’t bring up whether I wanted the long or the standard. I think I had read one of your posts saying that the 25 cal was now available in the standard length, weird Boris didn’t mention anything. I’m going to safely say I got the long as I didn’t request otherwise but hey who knows time will tell.

Cool. Is it the long or a standard?

I have a 25 cal on the way from Boris over at TGAG and a machined Hammer Spring adjustment knob from Steve. Just marking this thread as I will come back with some data once I get hands on trigger time.
