NV Scope for Day Scope Mounting
Recently I picked up the following:
Yukon 2 X 4 monocular 172.99 at:
Yukon mount w/Ir flashlight now $79.99 free shipping at:
I picked one up. Everything was $253.00 shipped. I’ll try anything at that price.
It works just fine! The NV monocular even has a “Flash Protector” that shields the unit if it is accidentially pointed at a bright light.
The built-in IR light is amazing for its brightness and range. The optional IR flashlight illuminator attached to the scope adapter even has a beam diameter adjustment so you can narrow it down to a small more intense beam for long distances.
My problem is I can’t use it. Two problems: One is this unit needs a low magnification scope for proper focus. 3X to 4X would be fine. My scope is 6X to 24X and it’s just too much. Second, my remaining good eye begins to fade after a few minutes from straining to focus in the IR light beam.
It works. It’s priced right. It has all the right features for the money if you are shooting at 50 yards or so. Some of you eagle eyed youths can probably extend that a lot. I can’t.
So, it’s on the “For Sale” section. I put it all together and it will fit just about any scope out there. Pictures with the ad. $225.00 shipped.
