Q:

nylon bolts

as an experimenter who cant afford more pellets right now, i was going to try to design sharp tipped bolts of nylon or delrin.

will these things excessively foul or damage my barrel? its hands down the most expensive part of my gun.

quote Mr-lama:

Do an even swap with someone that has a .177?

is that a proposal, lama?

Do an even swap with someone that has a .177?

only got a .22 blank w/bushes(LW)

Wal mart 6 buck and change for 500 crossman hollow points
, put your 22 barrel back on

just a novelty thing.

besides, if we can design a sharp tipped projectile with high sec. density, recover or no, its gonna fuk shit up!

my primary concern is about plastic fouling.

how hard is it to clean?

I pretty much guarantee its more expensive to make bolts than it is to buy pellets. Youre not likely to get more than one shot each bolt even if you do recover them.

I have some LRM pellets front half tin skirt half plastic and they shoot horribly. The skirt half is always deformed when i find them.

If you really want to buy stock, try Mcmaster Carr. I buy from them often.

also, where can one easily source a short section of bar stock, as opposed to buying a bunch of home depot spacers?

ive heard of DQ using delrin experimentally, anybody else heard anything?
