o ring mod…
i got my old stock valve pieces together for an experimental talon build for my old lady. the old, paper thin o ring in the brass guide is junk. i picked it out and decided to start using the said seal pick to carve a new, larger groove for a beefier o ring. anybody got advice for what size and material of ring to use? wonder what tony uses on his o ring mod?(tony, if you see this, HELP!) also, i assume to just use good ol silicone to lube?

It is a #008 90 dur. oring for the Talon stem.

strange thing is, i got the bigger ring in my co2 adapter, which i bought over a year ago(actually, it was free as a holiday promo from PA)
Sorry, was off to the home planet.
Tony uses 90 durometer on all his o-rings and the basic silicone grease. Size wise, there is a mod which lathes out the groove slightly bigger, which you can see on his website, but I don’t know the size o-ring he uses.
You can order a new brass insert that the stem goes through from Airforce for around $12.00 and it comes with a larger oring now. I ordered one a month ago and was surprised to see the larger o ring. Didn’t have to go in and cut a bigger grove.
