O rings
In another topic, I mentioned that I had some harder, longer lasting, O rings for the Matador’s probe. I said that I would send out 20 to anybody that asks, no charge, not even for shipping, it is just something that I like to do for my fellow Edgun Matador owners.
I got slammed with guys asking me to send them some. I ran out of my stock and had to order another 500 of them. Got them in yesterday.
I think that I might have lost some of the replys asking for some O rings.
If you haven’t got yours or haven’t got a PM from me stating that I have sent some, please PM me with your address and I will get them out this week. At least to the first 25 replies and then I will have to order another 500! I have probe O rings for the .22 and .25. Not too many of the .25s out there. As far as I know, Ed only shipped 2 to the US. I LOVE mine!
Still waiting for Tony to email me that my gun is in so I can add a R3 .25 long to my Edgun collection!
This is off of my topic, but, I am working on a video of my latest Ground Sguirrel shoot. Bought some new video editing software and I am trying to figure it out. I love the slow motion feature! The GS that I shoot are called 13 Banded and stand between 4″ and 6″ tall. You can almost cover a GS’s head with a quarter. I try for head shots as they will sometimes do a break dance after being headshot. I got 8 of them, all on video, and my longest 3 shots were 85, 93 and 126 yards! I am still giggling over the 126 yard shot! It wasn’t a lucky shot, you will see.

My trusty Matador R2.5, 25 cal long devolved an air leak. It turned out to be the O ring that seals the front side of the regulator’s internals. Without counting all of my empty JSB tins, yes I save them, I don’t know why, it took me 16,000 + shots to wear that O ring out. I went to the hardware store to find a replacement. I bought the closest metric O ring that they had and it was too small!
I went into full panic mode and asked Tony if he had any.
He gave me a subtle reminder that the needed O ring is included in the spare O rings that come with every Edgun. Who woulda thunk it? It turns out that the 22 and 25 use the same O ring so, I had 2 spares.
The hardware store O ring’s package says that they are 5 mm ID by 1.5 mm cross section by 8 mm OD. That is supposed to be the size of the Edgun replacement O rings. I just happened to have some McMaster Carr O rings that are also 5 mm ID X 1.5 CS X 8 mm OD. I forgot that I had them till the panic mode set in; I found them while searching for the Edgun spares.
The Edgun spares and the McMaster Carr O rings are the same size. The hardware store O rings are listed as the same size also but, they are smaller.
I am going to order 500 of the right size and I will send them out to anyone that would like a few.

I guess that I forgot to send some O rings to a member here. Has anyone else not gotten their O rings?
If any other Edgun Matador owner would like some, PM me your name and address and I will get them out.
I just have extra O rings for the breech end of the barrel and for the bolt probe.

It looks like a size smaller then spare o rings I received with Matador.
But I hope it will fit.
Maybe O rings for R3 is a bit different then for R2.5 ?

Nope, I dont have R2.5, but I heard that R2.5 in .25cal is not accurate as .22
This mine R3 .25 really rocks.
I shot today, again at same tree at same distance from my backyard crown at 169m. crazy 😆
I will make some videos really soon, its really windy this days and I still need to calibrate my scope.
Now my scope is zeroed at 30m for shooting toothpics.
I target crown at that distance with black line under my mill dots 😆
First time it took me 3 shoots to find good hold over for that distance, today I shot crown in first shot. 😉
