Q:

O-rings for the Vulcan, Buna 70 or Buna 90?

Are all the O-rings in a Vulcan buna 70 or buna 90? I thought I read where some were buna 70 and others were buna 90.

That’s what I heard also Greg, Mike likesem HARD!!

Anyways, I called Ernest and asked the Guru himself, he told me to use ALL Buna 70 in my PCPs, no Buna 90s. So that’s that!
So, I’m trying to raise my Regulator in my Vulcan to 130 bar from 125 bar. At 125 bar the distance from the top of the adjuster to the bottom of the reg is 71.03mm. When I open it up to 71.08mm it skyrockets past 150 bar. At 125 bar all I can get with 6 turns in on the a power adjuster is 870 fps. I’d like to get 920 fps and I’m afraid to turn the power adjuster in ant farther.
Any thoughts out there???

Hum ….. don’t own a Vulcan.

But I was told in the PCP world that all is used and needed is A70’s.
I only used A90’s for hard to seal/a stubborn leak in the high pressure side of the AT if it’s needs.
I would never use it on the inside of a regulator though, heard it’s hardness could cause premature ware.

All in all use what the manufacture recommends would be the best I would think …
If you take apart your factory built Vulcan use your finger nail and press and compare it to a A70 you have, the compared the differences with A90 is obvious.

Mike likes rock hard everything !
