Q:

Oh, a rusty barrel on a new Talon SS. (PICS)

I just got this gun last week and it never has been shot.

I charged up the Talon SS today and started cleaning the barrel. First patch came out rusty. For two hours I pulled patches threw it with Simple Green and Breakfree. I must have pull 50 patches threw it and I’m still getting a little rust out of it. I’ll try shooting it some to see how the accuracy is.

This is about half the patches.

Here’s the blue boy in .22 cal.

Here is the Red Gun. Just came in yesterday.

A CZ S200 in 177 cal.

And the long brown gun that came in with the Talon SS.

A Falcon Prairie in .177 call

Talon/Talon SS

Blue is so SWEET. I think I want it in .25 caliber

Nice CZ 200s-colour….. will be very interesting to test face to face the CZ vs Talon…. 😉

That Blue SS is really sweet.

if accuracy is affected or the rust caused pitting, i have a non aggressive procedure for light firelapping that has given me match grade accuracy from otherwise irrepairable barrels. involves BKF, 3-IN-1, and tight pellets(i use h&n rabbit magnums, theyre useless for anything else…). havent had to use it on a high quality barrel, but if you suspect pitting, it may be the way to go.
