Q:

OK guys, need a recommendation

My “Go-To” TSS has a sticky hammer again that’s giving me some screwy 1/2 powered shots. Awhile back, I tore it all down and cleaned all the gunk out the breech, slide and hammer, put it all back and worked super good until the last day or two.

I didn’t lube it with anything when I tore it down because I didn’t have anything to use. The dive shop here in town is closed because they are on a diving trip.

Is there anything I can pick up at a local hardware store that I can use ? We have a Lowes, a Home Depot and an Ace Hardware here in town.

Play nice now! My brother does live up near you.

A gifted scientist, he was experimenting on a medical instrument invention he refers to as a “Perpetual Bong”. Never needs re-lit, constantly cooled by rain water from a cistern, or recycled “grey water” from his commode, and excess heat is off-gassed to warm the house. All this from buring a common weed sometimes referred to as a “medicinal herb”. Pure genius!

Ok…the water hose was a bad idea for the fuel source supply. He forgot to replace the washer. Big deal! His woman is in a much better place now, and he was wanting a new dog anyway!!!

Jeez…even Bernie Madof made mistakes!

Oh God, you look this crazy MF that lives up the road.

A few winters ago he piped propane into his house with garden hose. The place blew up when he was at his mailbox, he now lives in a camper.

LOL, you dont live in Washington do you? 😆

Having been on these Mexican drugs for a few days now, I took my picture and have posted it on my profile for all to see. I think it builds confidence when someone can see who is offering advice. Like my earlier posting advising the use of explosive lubricants in PCP rifles.

If I do say so myself, I look a whole lot more energetic than I did just a few weeks ago. I lacked energy, and the nice fella on-line said he had just what I needed.

I’m not real sure what they are, but they were being discontinued, and on special, so I ordered a six month supply, and got a real good deal!

I find I don’t need but about 30 minutes sleep a night now, so I’ve got lots of time and energy on my hands. 😯

Also, I see everything in much brighter colors too. Before my new medication, I had no idea a common barnyard chicken glowed in the dark!!! Why the savings in night vision equipment alone is worth the price I paid.

Further, he said it would greatly improve my sex life. The strange part is he said to give the pill to the WOMAN, instead of myself. (????)

WD-40 is a big NO-NO with a PCP, or any airgun for that matter.

If its anywhere near the compressed gas/air, do not use it.

Yeah Hoot, get your gun some of the fast dry silicone spray,
We like your neighbor stories, and want ya around to hear more 😛 😛 😛

You might also check the air valve…It could be getting slightly stuck…

WD40?

I have found that it dries to a nice slick surface, and seems to work on just about anything and not gum up.

I thought about taking a teaspoon at night myself, but tried it out first on the old bitch’s gerbil next door. He died of the shits three days later. I should have felt bad, but since I don’t like anybody in that house, I figured better him than me! Been trying to figure out how to get a dose in her damn chickens, but it doesn’t stick to corn for some reason.

So guys, I suggest trying this on your gear, if all else fails, but don’t ingest any yourself! Seriously….that gerbil didn’t go out quick or easy!!!

EDIT: Whoops! Forgot I also use it to fire up the lawn mower and other carburator equipped stuff when they don’t start. So I guess “explosive” lubes should be avoided!

Get yourself a cheap cleaning rod and a shotgun cleaning swab. Chuck the rod in a drill.
Spray the silicone into the frame, and buff it out with the drill/swab. Doesnt take much.
Give it another quick spray and your done.

Works equally well with graphite, but graphite seems to flake off and ends up in the breech. Not sure if it matters but I didnt like it.

Hi TM, I had the same problem. I shot some dry graphite lock lubricant into my action. I also increased the preload on the hammer spring…turned up the power wheel. I haven’t had the problem since. Good luck.

HVAC supply usually have BIG ass cans of silicone spray if that helps.

Right on …… Thanks Adam !!!!

Hammer sticky?

Go to Pepboys or autozone etc. and buy some “Dry spray lubricant” It come in an aersool can and sprays on and when dry leaves a film of moly or silicon.
