OK I want a Drozd balckbird
I don’t know shit about either the blackbird or the original but I need a full auto BB GUN!! Can any one fill me in on the prows and con of the two. As well noise levels and the ability to quite them down.
I do know that I will do the mod chip and a extended barrel. I would like to stay with CO2 because I have a few tanks for my condor.
Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Now mine is modded with the battery mod to make it cycle faster and hit harder. On the Drozd forum there is a guy named “Green Dot “. He have went over 1000fps with his but he risks a magazine explosion due to 1300psi regulated air. Believe me, 700 fps is damn fast for a BB.
Hows this for a 30 foot blast…
Now cap that off into a cats ass at night and he’ll never come back 🙂
I doubt he’d leave either.

I’d be open to getting one of these if i can get a rechargable 12v battery pack. i wonder if u can use cr123 batteries
Well I would like fast…. But not any risk to my self or any others that would be firing the weapon. I don’t need good times replaced by a trip to the ER.
I do a lot of shooting at a few dairies around me and would like to see what a clip or two would do to a line of pigeons or a few rats near a silage pile. That would be cool shit on a night shoot!!!
Thank you guys for the input, and keep it coming.
Only use Zinc bbs.

pm your email and I will get a pic of my B-B…,
See now that looks like a shit load of fun. As for the high cap mag, that’s exactly why I was looking at the BBird. But I don’t want the funky and slightly bulky mag to be in the way. OK when we are talking about poor accuracy how bad are we talking?? And 700FPS as I was looking around the net ( which never lies ) and I’m seeing numbers from some at 900+. I would like to make the most of the gun while not turning my back yard into a rickashay gallery. And last but not least what are we talkin as a ball-park number for a tricked out Bird. Got to have a Christmas budget..
I went thru the Drozd phase. I like the gun, delivers a staggering fire, but is not accurate. Mine is shooting @ 700fps. Battery mod, board, HPA mod, Laser, Light, Custom barrels, fake suppressor, etc. Waiting on the high capacity magazine which will eventually come out.

How do we “know” it will be better, there is no such gun available to buy.
If I can not buy it,
I can not test it to say if it is or is not better.
IMO, a gun in the hand is worth 2 “in the works”.
There is a LOT of upgrades you can do to the “Blackbird”, which make it a fun, cheap to shoot gun.
“IF” the other gun is going to shoot pellets, 22 pellets cost the same or more than 22lr when I was shooting powderburners a lot (100rds per day)
The 22lr, by the brick, at the time, cost $7.99 – $9.99 (a brick = 500)
500 22 pellets cost more than that, or at that cost for cheaper pellets..
For an inexpensive “full auto thrill gun”, I want cheap ammo (BB’s) not pellets.
If I want high accuracy, I will pull out the FX or BSA guns, but to shoot at 1200rpm, it would take 5 minutes of shooting to go through 5,000 rounds.
If I am shooting BB’s, that is less than $7.
If I am shooting 22 pellets, it would cost me (at a low price of $9 for 500 rounds) $90 for the same fun.
The new gun may or may not be better, but at the moment, it is not even something you can purchase (I have been following it for at least a year)
Get a Blackbird, have fun, “if” the other gun ever does hit the market, buy it and try it.
If in fact it is better and you do not mind spending $90 to shoot 5,000 rounds vs $7, it would be easy to sell the Blackbird as they have quite a following and their own forum (like TAG does for AF guns), but in the meantime, you could have LOTS of fun:)
Wait and get this one. It will be much better ,more expensive, but much better. http://www.fullyautomaticairgun.com/newsletter090822.html
There are some videos on YouTube. Hes was working on trying to get them to shoot pellets. Don’t know if he scrapped it or not. I think they are just trying to get insured now.
Going full auto, you really want to use air.
I started with Co2, but after the 1st tank, I modded my gun to use air.
You can now buy the fitting to make it HPA or bulk Co2, it is just a Foster Fitting with the threads made for the Blackbird, just screw it in, then use either air or Co2.
Right now I am using 1250psi regulated air,
SMG heat treated longer barrel,
SMG shroud,
M16/AR15 adjustable stock,
Next-
Modding for 600-900-1200rpm. I have the parts, just have to get to it.
Higher voltage batteries. I am making a couple of custom “sticks” for higher voltage.
Good luck and have fun!!!
These guns are a blast, LOL!!
I think the deciding factor will be the hi-cap mag. I mean if you are going full auto … the more the better.
Has any one done the mods tow the BBird. I would think they would be the same as the original. The only thing I would like to change is to do the bulk CO2 in place of the stock. I don’t like the bottom attachment and I don’t want to buy the 88g CO2 tanks. I’m a cheep bastard… Well except for gun stuff.
“O” and Rob I would love to see some new shirts. I have almost worn out the one I have. And some long sleeve shirts would be cool. 8)

The big difference in the two is the BlackBird has a hi-cap magazine and bulk fill. I’ve considered getting one myself as I have the standard Drozd….and while fun, those 30 BB’s run out quick.
The BBird is already equipped to use bulk CO2 in the form of the 88G AS tanks and can be used with other bulk CO2 tanks.
As far as noise, I cannot speak to the BBird, but I’d venture an educated guess it applies. The majority of the noise you’ll hear is the electronic rat a tat tat…. and not much muzzle blast. Of course, if you equip with a longer barrel, the little blast there is can be easily muffled…. but the majority of the noise I notice is from the electronic solenoid.
