Q:

one complant maybe two Athlon scope

On my Athlon Argos btr 6×24-50 ,
Got the prey in sight , Little fuzzy Go to reach for my side focus wheel and I fumble as its a little knob…I am just used to feeling for a wheel.
I have looked everywhere for one, I have a spare UTG wheel that I may enlarge the center to fit and retap the screws to hold it on.
and I am not 100% happy with the end caps , Scope covers , They move around a lot when I flip them open and closed.
Other than that I really like the scope , The FFP has not won me over , But the more I use it the more I like it.

Got to agree, just showed my Veteran 25 shorty with Athlon scope on it, To a big time big game hunter,
He really liked the scope and could no believe I had it on a pellet gun.
The rest is history ,I got to talking about my PCP guns and that I like to shoot , And to shoot five days a week and I just can not do that with my powder guns, Cost and time would be crazy.
The total cost sets a lot of people back.
But that’s all in the past I shoot for hours for just penny’s Maybe a few quarters
In the sport
broke as hell
shooting like crazy.

If you ever use ballistic software you’ll notice you have to set up your input at a particular zoom level. With FFP you ain’ts gots’ ‘ta worry ’bout it. That in itself is worth the price of admission. I know some like a super-thin reticle and when you zoom in on an FFP the crosshairs grow but I ain’t had any problem hitting small targets with larger crosshairs, so I debunk that so called “negative” pertaining to FFP complaints. :tag:

Yep got mine cheap UTG wheel to fit on the Veteran 25 with my Athlon scope, Just got the dremel tool out ant started grinding on the wheel.
Works perfect Had to grind on the rubber to, Got a magic black marker and took the numbers off,
Now to fix the scope caps, Popped a few sparrows while doing the wheel work, We got some super smart sparrows here in Texas.
They have learned death comes from the window (kitchen)
Oh, and I really like fixing stuff on my guns on the cheap, Makes it feel like my gun.

UTGs are great to hack and cheap, I have them on my Mamba lites and SWFA SS scopes.

The Hawke Side Wheels have a bit larger centers then the UTGs ……..
Just under 1.5″ with 3 side mounting screws, the smaller OD of the two has no side mounting screws.

2 OD size available.

These are top notch and a bit expensive, just make sure to get the right size of insert to fit your scope.
