Optimizing the .22 Edgun Lelya
Hi All,
I picked up a .22 lelya some 10 days ago and have, due to the time of year, had little time to play around with it.
It came shooting the 18gr JSB at 232m/s (761fps) and increasing HST I was able to peak at around 239m/s (784fps)… reg seems to be set at just below 130bar.
Theres not too much information available online (in english) regarding this little rifle so I turn to those in the know with the following questions;
1. 18gr@784fps vs. 15.9gr@832fps (at its current setting) ?
2. or, detune the rifle (reg + HST) to save on ware and tear of parts (how resistant are the internals anyway? Isnt the lelya based on the pistol Veles which started out as a .177?)
I know I can fill her up to 240bar but I like to keep it at 200bar as it makes for easy pumping whenever Im out of air and that gives me 15 full power shots down to 130bar.
Accuracy seems to be good but I have only had the opportunity to shoot out to 15m… with an additional moderator this rifle is super quiet so no neighbors will be disturbed by this one, thats for sure.
Thanks, Q

Dear Hoot,
your words are like poetry and, may I say, very soothing to the ear.
I was about to go with SECoda’s suggestion but all this talk about prize bulls, blind dates and 200m beak shots might have swayed me in the other direction…
I will just wait for this year to end so that I finally have time for myself and my rifles… full test coming up with a more educated guess on hardcore vs softcore /
