case remains guys…
air guns simply Do Not have the same recoil impulse as fire arms
the .58 should be less than a .50 70 black powder load which really is rather mild
owned .410s that were more brutal than .50-70s

you guys saying an airgun kicks worse than a powder burner?

sorry the hornet has no impulse yea old dumbass…even my 400 foot pound Haley is real real mild for recoil…
why do people continue to contrast recoil?
most of the reason is they have little to zero experience with arms that DO recoil
just like the jackasses that claim the lowly .223 “kicks”
spare me

then again I guess I grew up shooting major center fires

not buying based on my own experience and most of that is 19th century stalking rifles
not Asian crap
lot of myth on this one

is there an impulse?
for sure certain

is it objectionable to those used to powerful fire arm?

no

“recoil” in an air rifle is a very subjective term
in the case of .45 & .50 pneumatics I find the “kick” little different than a M1 Carbine or somewhat less than AKM
then again see folks claim their .223 AR kicks!

your .58 will have some movement but nothing in the range of say a single shot 12 gauge, much less a belted magnum

I would take a 12 gauge or 300 win mag before the whipping a .58 airgun will dish out.

Those 45 and 50s are they Koreans? 30 M1 isn’t that like a 22 Hornet?

Not to be too fucking picky but…of those describing the kick of a big bore, how many of you have anything close to a 800fpe gun?

I was test shooting my 700+fpe .62 not to long ago and got “scope’d.” Not a problem I’ve had while shooting much higher power powder burners. Yeah, RJ, the recoil from a .300 mag is strong but different in that it dies quick, the big bore airgun just keeps driving…

I suspect it has to do with pulse duration and projectile weight but big power airguns with big slugs have serious kick. And, no, a dragonslayer .50 does not give you any clue as to the kick from a 800fpe .58! Yes, I’ve got a DS…

The push of a bigbore airgun comes mainly from the rocket thrust of the air

I have go a few scope eyes from my Vulture and it had nothing to do with fpe 🙂

Walter….

sickem boy

i am guessing an 800 fpe gun has a bit of smack talk in it when she burps
i mean heck i can feel the fully modded condor when it shoots not a kick but a slight movement and thats a measly .22 cal at 60 fpe
lol
jump up to over 2x the size and 8 times the power hmmm i bet she bumps a bit

after i get over this pistol kick im on i think im gonna be ordering up a nice bigbore my self
but right now these damn powderburnin pistols are suckin every penny i have
im not complaining at all as i love shooting them
heck i might try for a close range deer with my 9mm this year
i can keep the groups soda can sized at 30 yards thats a deer in my books
we will see
😈

im gonna try pab thats a promise

hey joe i talked to Linda i think her name is she garenteed me that they would be no later than mid november as long as jack could work like projected they want me to get them in the woods this season and post them some pics of deer and hogs i kill with them

Reba is a great gal. I hope yours is right on time. I haven’t even had a chance to get mine out yet. Me and a few buds are hoping to get it out with my TD arrow conversion for some Hogs this winter. As I’m sure you can imagine, none of them ever heard of an airgun capable of such things. They will be pleasantly surpirsed I’m sure.

The recoil of a big bore is more of a big push than a kick.

It will still bloody up your eyebrow though, if you let it.

is the recoil worse than a 300 rem ultra mag

800 fpe in a .58 means a big slug and lots of recoil, start looking for a scope with LOTs of eye relief. Trust me.

sweet!!!! 800fpe!!!!! 😈 😈 😈

Congrat’s RJ,you could’nt have a better choice. Jack & Reba are super nice people to deal with. I can tell you having one, two, three .32,.45 & MS REBA’S PURPLE LADY seven & counting Super guns, service at a fair price. Good hunting with your Haley’s. Regards Rodney

im very happy to say the least

well now that i will have 2 capable to kill really big stuff i need a hunting buddy

U ready RC?????

That’s just too cool RJ!
