as far as i know, polished the crap out of the trigger sear with a dremel. made a spacer to remove the side to side play on the trigger and made a spacer for the trigger guard out of a old tackle box insert. cleaned the barrel a bunch and a few other things.

im fine tooth combing mine when i get it and checking EVERYTHING. almost a week and a half out now so hopefully i can get some decent trigger tiem with it in time for a website release and let people know whats the comotion from china and why these shouldnt be overlooked

ok what did you do????? :darth-vader:  :6:

Yup… there is a cure, I cured mine…..

ok had shot this for awhile now about 3k shots.scrubbed the hell out of barrel, polished and recrwned, very ruff.this gun shoots 5.50 pellets very well.not very good with 5.52.now after 250 pellets, groups start getting larger.33yds, clean barrel .24″ grp after 250 shots .75″grp is there a cure for this or just clean after 250 shots?

I actually had AoA guy call me the other day about 7:00 my time and wanted to make sure someone took care of me. I had left a voice mail message about 3 days earlier. That’s the second time they did a follow-up. I got someone on the phone pretty easy when returning my FX mounts. Took them a while to credit back but it got done and did take some time but none the less they checked up. So maybe I’m in the good guy category with them : grin:

I very much doubt it. 😆

Now that’s what I call customer service! :8:

I’ve not seen many other (if any other) air gun distributors take a PERSONALIZED interest in their customers and the product they sell. Most (if not all) will wait for YOU to contact them with the problem(s).

Mike gets it.

Anyone at AOA listening?? 😯 :suprisedn:

Hey Guys,

Been following the post, and addressing the gauge issue.

Just placed an order for this gauge specifically in qty, and they will all be here Friday.

No worries.

This is so far, the only failure reported, however we believe the oring is the primary fault.

(Not that the factory gauge is anything to brag about)

We aired up every P-12 and tested them all, however these thing happen.

We don’t take chances, with a part that is only 10 bucks, so we will keep them in stock.

Thanks for your feedback. We listen and act accordingly.

This will be addressed period.

We stand behind behind our products 100%.

Thanks Again

Agree with TAP-have that gauge on Marauder rifle and pistol-both check spot on with tank gauge. They also both check within one percent of my 4.5 inch 1% Wika test gauge.

I have compared the pressure readings of the new gauge with that of my air compressor and find it to be spot on accurate and uses the same size oring as the original.

How is thee accuracy of that gauge?

Yes, the high pressure miniature gauge from McMaster-Carr #9767T21 (4000PSI) 1/8 NPT, it replaces the original one perfectly.

TAP, Is this the one you use to replace your P-12 gauge? http://www.mcmaster.com/#atmospheric-pressure-gauges/=s26z4f
High-Pressure Miniature Gauges 1″ 1/8 9767T21 $10.78

I would like a psi instead of mpa gauge as well.

Thank you guys for your post and information.

wingman the problem with that is it also broke the circle guage face lose.i just happened to have a couble new gauges here so I just changed it out.the o-ring was tore so replaced it with new one and made sure I greased it with divers silicon.been holding air now for three hrs.
the one thing I will say and that is how pleased I am with this gun.the wind here just blows and blows.i am going to try tomorrow to get to the range and post some groups I get from 50yds at least they will be the best I can do that day.
thanks to everyone who responded.guys remember a lot of us are not real writers or good shots to be wanting outhers to just see how bad or just can not do the review true justice.so far really enjoying this gun.later guys and again thanks 😀

I received my unregulated SPA P12 last Thursday and the first thing that I noticed was the overall fit and finish looked very nice and I didn’t see if unevenness in the coloring of the stock or the metalwork. Tools and extra parts such as orings, springs, fill probe, allen wrenches and degasser tool accompanied the airgun as advertised. I had ordered a new AOE 8-32X50IR scope with rings and easily mounted them.
I started to fill the cylinder when at about 50psi the plastic cover on the P12 manometer gauge popped off and air began to leak from the face of the gauge.
I immediately stopped filling the air tube and emailed Mike Esch at MrodAir re: the leak.
Mike quickly emailed back followed by a phone call and offered to repair the leak if I sent the P12 back or he would provide me with a replacement gauge. He said the factory gauges were not the best but he had not had any issues with them.

I declined the offer for another gauge and told him I would just order a better gauge that displayed psi instead of mpa from McMaster-Carr for $10.
After removing the gauge I noticed the oring was torn in a couple of places and replaced the oring with a new one but it only leaked and tore the new oring.

Yesterday I received my new gauge and installed it and no more leaks.
I filled the P12 to 3000psi and sighted in my scope at 19 yards.
Right away I discovered that the P12 operated flawlessly no issues whatsoever and it shot as accurately as my AA S410’s.

Today I decided to shoot a target at 19 yards with a starting pressure of 3000psi
using (10) Air Arms Diabolo Field 16 grain domed pellets (ending pressure 2800psi).
This P12 is also surprisingly quiet even though it doesn’t have any baffles in the shroud, it is on par with my Air Arms S410 (shrouded) in accuracy and noise level and is a bargain at this price.
