paint for shrouds

Well, that’s good to know then. It’s because PAG uses a square cut on the end of the shroud that it flakes so easily. The rest of the shroud is in 100% perfect condition, it’s just the end cap that has a few spots.

He was not joking. PAG uses a baked on finish and it can not be repaired easily nor is it damaged easily. A black sharpy will cover a nick just fine.
Alan Zasndy paints his shrouds and has them touch it up with paint if need be. This is true, but paint on shrouds do tend to get nicked and worn off all the time.
I had to take a sharpy to my new LD pistol because I knicked the finish fitting my shroud onto it.
And just for the record I have found Rustoleum Flat Black to be a better paint then Krylon flat black. It is tougher and has a better finish.
PAG recommended that I use a Sharpie on my shroud if need be! 😯

Krylon works well for me on alu and plastics.
PJ1 Fast Black Satin, high temperature exhaust black as used on dirt bikes.
( sticks like crap to a blanket )
not on pvc, baking temp is too high. for pvc maybe the krylon fusion that targeteer mentioned. I was presuming you were using aluminum.
AlumaHyde II from Brownells is pretty decent stuff and fairly cheap. It needs a week or two for total cure though.
…..or maybe the “krylon fusion” spray paint? It is supposed to bond to plastics better than regular spray paint or something like that. 😀
I would say some type of truck bed liner would work better for your purposes.

This is a “spray & bake” coating that yields a VERY durable finish. I have used with great results refinishing several powderburners.

The corners always suck. Get a good black sharpy and give it a wipe. It wont be perfect but after awhile you will not notice it to much.
