PCP Option Mutant or Leisky
Okay , This is the subject and all who respond must be 100% truthful . Soze , I still do not care for Red Headed Women , however , I
have decided that I’m open to purchase an ED gun . As of the moment my choice would be the Leisky with both a .22 cal. and .25
barrel . My other choice would be the Mutant either in .22 cal. or the up-coming .25 cal . gun . Both are considered to basically be a
close to mid range gun out to 50 yards and I’m good with that . I know that neither the Mutant .25 or the Leisky have yet to appear
so this would be a tough decision on both guns because no one has as of yet has one in order to give a true shooting opinion on them .
AS of now I have two PCP guns , a Talon SS with both .22 cal. and .25 cal. barrels and a Vulcan .25 cal. gun . I really like both guns ,
but basically I prefer to only being a one gun shooter . I do have other rifles and pistols both in center fire and rim fire that I love to
shoot , but each are in a class of their own . I prefer a Bullpup PCP and will not buy any PCP gun over 28 inches . All who reply may
give a Bullpup of their choice and why they choose that gun . If I decide to buy a new PCP gun they I will put my two PCP’s up for sale .

Birdman I am no expert, and have only been shooting pcps for about 9months.I started on a ‘ good with one pellet’ .22 benji synrod that i absolutely loved except for the size weight and pellet pickiness, shot count etc.
So last month i splurged on a mutant standard, after much research on every brand under the sun. I knew about the bad barrel debacle but it has since been resolved, and even those affected by it seemed content that they had a shooter in their hands , sans the intial barrel problem.. I will be honest the lure of that sexy lookng fx bullpup made it my top choice with other brands not really getting me as excited. Problem is that if you start watching reviews on YouTube no one has anything bad to say, no examples of malfunctions or inconsistent poi, but they seem to be playing to the masters if you ask me. How many of those high profile airgun reviewers are getting some sort of comps?? Once you start delving into the forums of actual owners you find out that maybe she not all that.. this is where the mutant shines. Real world owners gush praise on their ugly little pups , me included. And while I’m sure the edgun is excellent, it to me seems like older technology, ie trigger, mag indexing, bolt action ,reg…not to mention more money.. i think the thing that really tipped the scales on buying the mutant was after talking on the phone with 3 different airgun sellers that sold both mutants and fx guns or other runners up, and they all agreed the mutant was excellent gun worth waiting for even though the mutant was out of stock and the others were not. I ended up buying from TT who seemed to echo all the other experts..
One final note , dont be fooled into thinking this is a 50yard gun , but because the head shot squirrel at 75yrds and the headshot dove at 101yrds might beg to differ. And im a noobie…!

Wow , no response , that is okay . I think I will keep both PCP guns and fore go the Mutant Shorty and the Leisky .

matmo , I had already decided that if I’am going to buy a new gun it will be the Taipan Mutant .25 Shorty . The reason I said that this
gun is going to be a 50 yard shooter is because (1) It will be .25 cal. and not a .22 cal. gun which means it it isn’t going to produce and
be able to shoot as far as the .22 cal. gun . (2) I maybe shooting only one .25 cal. grain pellet that being the heaviest if it has an effective
killing range out to 50 yards , if not then I will have to find a second .25 grain pellet that will be the most effective killing pellet at 50 yds.
For my scope first I will try my VISM 3-9x40mm and see how well it will be able to hit a paintball size target at 50 yards . If that doesn’t
work than I may try a 1.5-6×42 scope ,1-6x28FFP scope , 2-6x28mm scope . If anyone thinks of a better scope that will not break the bank
go ahead and give your opinion , also still wondering about an ED Gun scope .
