Q:

Pellet Holder Grip Mod

Here is the only mod that i can take credit for. I took the back cover off of a retractable book light… the plastice cover that holds the batteries and filed that down and epoxied it to the opening on the grip. also covered i with industral strenght velcro so the hinged will not wear out. the grip holds i believe over one tin of kodiaks. It makes the gun heavy but you do have over a tin of pellets.

I believe the best pellet holder for hunting would sill be the one where a member cut air conditioner insulation tubing an inch or so wide and attached it around the scope. 30 holes or so were punched in or however many good shots per fill you get. Out of pellets and it’s time to refill the tank. with tree rats running all over it would be easier to pick them off the scope holder and they would be right by the chamber. Wish i could find that guys post it was a good one.

Yeah, I saw that, but I think that I would have to see the mod first hand to get a better idea of how effectively it works. I think that in the comfort of your own home all would be well, but I can see a whole bunch of pellets tumbling out in the wind, rain and pressure of the field.

Thanks TT for the quote help.. i think i got it.. i have hunted quite a bit and it does work quite well. i just tried it to see exactly how it’s done.. i turn the gun on it side.. so the pellets are not falling out and take the bird finger and place under the bottom of the grip and the pointer finger picks or pokes out single pellets which fall between the two middle fingers and the thumb closes the hinged flap shut. then i right the gun and load the pellet. just a slight tilt and a poke with the finger allows single pellets to come out. it’s actually very fast but i have had alot of practice with it… hope this helps

That’s very cool, but I can see it being not so easy to get them out as you have to turn the rifle upside down, which may not be easy out in the field.

Thanks Guys.. It’s actually very easy to get the pellets out… I turned it upside down just for the picture.. The way they come out is with gun right side up just crack the lid and gravity will do the rest. it took a little practice but if you tilt and crack the lid ijust a little I can get just a few pellets out or shake it a little quite a few will come out…

Randall, as for using Quotes, just click on the “Quote” tag next to the post that you would like to quote, then click right at the end of the text, outside the brackets, then hit your “Enter” key a few times then just type away. Hope that that makes sense.
