The usual reactive targets work well for us. The photo shows a .22 Condor SS popping a 1.5″ reactive target. The targets are stuck on the steel plates shown in the target hangers. Having a solid backing may help insure the targets explode.

Interested? Yes. Willing to buy? Maybe, I’m a cheapskate with both my time and money. I don’t bother with targets that take too much time to set up (i.e. pumping up plastic bottles w/air). Tannerite is not in my budget.
One thing I do like to shoot is Mad Bull (AKA El Torro Loco) poppers. They are fireworks that explode on impact. They are about the size and volume of a Black Cat firecracker. Glue um (I use hot glue) to cardboard and have a blast.
