Pellet sorting??
Do you guys sort by head size and weight? If so how do you do it?

if you do competitive target shooting, sorting pellets can give you the edge over your opponents.
you don’t need to divide your tin to 5 groups by weight but I would certainly keep the middle weights and use the too lights and too heavies for plinking only.
what you don’t want is to have a too light and next a too heavy when trying grouping/how accurate your gun is.
the same applies to chronoing the gun, if you want to see what your gun is doing across the fill/regulated or not, you want some good consistent pellets.
get those cantilever designed digital diamond scales cheap online, the smaller the range the better, ideally 2gram max not 5 and off you go.

I´m not sorting pellet too. As Mr. :hoot: wrote why? In the Bohumin http://www.schulzdiabolo.cz/en/info/ I think they did better work than do I 😆 :biggrinn:

BUT, most don’t measure or weigh… 🙄
The process is more like:
What kind of target am I shooting today ❓
What distance will I be shooting ❓
Can my rifle get it up to a speed that will give consistent accuracy ❓
Are they available at wm ❓
We have insatiable appetites for lead and consume it by the tin.
If the pellet manufacturers don’t please us with a head size and/or weight that works for our various needs we don’t buy their crap :butkick:
Well said Hoot: . I tried sorting once and couldn’t see any difference in accuracy. Now it’s open a tin blow out any lead dust and fire away.

Perfection is in the mind of the beholder. Accuracy is in the hands of those who practice!
Unsorted, unweighted, but with pellets of good quality, the gun will outshoot you every day of your life.
That’s time you could be shooting and really doing something to improve your marksmanship!
