Pellet Strikes
So guys, just wondering about pellet strikes, is it due to the shroud being out of alignment mainly? I would think that there is very little if any ‘trajectory’ from muzzle to exit with a 800 fps velocity. Is there a formula for size of opening vs. pellet diameter that requires a minimum difference yet allows passage without giving up noise reduction (if that makes sense). My guess is that for AirForce airguns using a homemade LDC, the use of a centering bushing, between the muzzle and the first barrel securing bushing, that an aluminum tube to slide over and make contact with the first securing bushing would likely address alignment issues. I suppose an offcenter hole could cause it too, but factory made ones should be drilled centered I would think.

Thank you for your response, what you described is on topic and makes sense. I’m guessing that as long as not too much air can escape as the pellet is exiting is the secret to a quieter blast.
