Pellets and recoil
Hey guys , i have a AAA Condor .25 from talon tunes , i am really happy with it but i am not quite satisfied with the groups its giving me at 40m i am using jsb exacts , any advice what pellets suit the 18” barrel for long range shooting ? Plus i find the gun recoiling is it possible its the recoil that is causing me to lose aim ? If so what do u suggest ? I am using the tuned tophats mainly the small one .

If you are usinf a small, maybe you need pw turned all the way down, too much back pressure, try a bigger orifice.

I didn’t get much from Tony but the gun , he told me that the barrel likes JSBs the most , i think i need a chrony soon, does anyone recommend a cheep effective one ?
Probably shooting them too fast. Get a chrony.
afi, I think the pellet should be out the barrel by the time you get any recoil. Sometimes its just holding the rifle to tight that causes inconsistencies.
Do you have a chronograph or what did Tony give you as a print out average for what pellet ❓
How was it set up to get that printout ❓ Was Tony using the valve restricter ❓
I have the 24″ AAA .25 Condor from TT and the only recoil I really made note of was with 71 gn Black Mambas when they hit 831 to 865 FPS 😯
I would keep the power wheel where Tony had it set and use less fill PSI. You may be using the best valve restricter but it only takes a minute to try the other one or without. But you will probably have to lower the PSI a good bit.
Tony will give you all the time it takes to help you out.
I don’t know much about them fancy guns from Tony ( I shoot stocked guns), but all guns should be tested with as many pellets you can get your hands on.
Two like guns may not shoot the same pellet as good as the other.

Definitely do what Maw said.
I am using the largest insert with JSBs and 2500 PSI FILL for 920 FPS.
Set the Power Wheel where Tony had it and try a 2500 PSI FILL.
