Could be. I ´ve come to a conclusion about the spiraling and it´s this : The speed that causes spiraling differs from rifle to rifle. My R3 likes it hot and it shoots best at 283-285 mps. Not a hint of any wobbling nor spiraling and definitely more accurate than in 265-275 mps, which is supposed to be the “golden” velocity. So mine likes it 35-65 fps faster for some reason.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQvHyOs3hTg see from 15 second my spiraling gun 🙁 speed set to 869ft (265m.s.)

I think should be is dirty barrel ? I have almost 1000 pellets through the barrel after last cleaning.

wow wonderful for 100m :4:

100 meters …

The correct speed is about 275 m/s for my R3 long .25

This where a slow motion video is very useful to airgunners.. 🙂

Got one. Love it.

That guy is creator of regulators to some airgun.

He is absolutely correct. I slowed my pellets down until the spiral ceased, and accuracy greatly improved.

I did find that the H&N pellets prefer a speed around 800 or less.
