Q:

Photobucket and your 3rd party hosting

Hey, guys, you may have noticed that your photobucket linked photos on TAG have been replaced with an image that says “look who’s popular” “Is this your photo?” “Upgrade to 500 plus for third party hosting”

Photobucket has changed their 3rd party hosting rules, and now they want to charge for the privilege. In my opinion, Photobucket has been cumbersome to use with the pop-up ads and click bait scattered on their website. I am switching to a new 3rd party hosting for photos on forums. I have had good luck using https://imgur.com/ so far. Maybe others can post their favorite 3rd party photo hosting site on this thread. I love seeing people’s pictures on TAG.
Here is an image from imgur, seems easy enough to use

I’m giving SmugMug a try.

Photobucket had been a pain in the ass for a while now and them pulling this was the poke I needed to move onto something else.

Hopefully this works out ok, if not I’ll try something else!

I found this on how to use imgur on the yellow form. :biggrinn:

I’ve use the first 2 as backup when PB has a stroke …….. so far it has been good, and the last 2 I haven’t try yet but heard they’re reliable for the past 3 years !

Even if it would be priced reasonably, and Photobucket has any rights to adjust its pricing, blocking images without prior notice or migration options, especially since this was free before, is not the most elegant of ways to go about it.

A ransom of $400 is a bit much ……… compared to free.

I use shutterfly and have for years… It’s always worked as it should for me. Yes has your own album, can setup multiple or whatever.

I should have created a separate thread a few days ago. Imgur or Flickr or postimage are all good replacements. Photobucket has sucked for quite a while.

I got my sig. back, & avatar
Thx :biggrinn:

To be honest I just started using it so I am pretty green with the service. It does have an album/library feature and a private/public feature. I downloaded the imugr app on my phone and posted that photo above.

Soze…..

Does it have a Library that you can see all your own pix, in one place.
I don’t like some places that once, you post you really can’t see it.

It’s just on the web.
Thx.
