This is the piece I started with, 3/4×1/2 aluminum.
Next I milled it down to .450 the thickness of the rail[/img]
Then I drilled and countersunk the mounting holes
Next was milling the dovetails[/img]

Next was putting in a few fancy lightning holes[/url]
She’s finished..now comes indicating in the rail for the tapped holes, you know how machinists are..dead nuts only..
