Picked up a used Talon what can I expect
I just picked up a talon .22 not to familar this one. (On its way) I have a Condor .22. Is the Talon a toned down version of the Condor? Any info you may want to pass on would be greatly appericated. Thanks Kip. P.S. Pellets that fire best would help. One other thing are the HPA bottled interchangleable with the two. Thanks

Yes noise is a factor. I bought a shroud from tony 5 mo. ago for condor. Thing is silent. Today I shot the talon for first time. Shoots like a dream. Big question is can I swap shroud? Put it on Talon? Condor has larger barrel. Thanks for warm welcome can’t wait to trick out my rifles . Check out these yahoos shooting a country mile. Love it Later Kip.
Hi Kipp, 😀 welcome to the dark side! So, you have a Condor and you bought a regular Talon? Both in .22? I’d say that you have been bit by the AF bug. 😉 I have had my Talon SS for just over three years and I still enjoy shooting it. Do you live where noise is not a problem, or are you going to put a shroud on it? I’m just curious. The Talon is a sexy airgun for sure, but where I live, silence is golden. Good Luck!

Your Condor valve and bottle will screw right onto the Talon you just purchased, however, you will also need the Condor hammer spacer or a heavier hammer to get the valve to open properly. Once you do that you will basically have a shorter lighter version of the Condor.
The Talon frame is also just a couple of inches shorter than the Condor frame and does not have the extra leg support in the carrying handle.

Talon is 18″ barrel and does not have the high flow valve. It is is very similar to your Condor.
It likes kodiak, CP’s and JBS pellets.

If its a 18″ barrel, the shroud will work just fine.
Is the frame of the talon the SS variety or standard talon? The SS is the same length as your Condor, the standard frame is shorter.
With the shorter frame the 18″ barrel will stick out about the same length as the 24″ barrel does on the condor.
The shroud will be interchangeable in this case.
