picked up AA410 custom carbine/pistol in a trade and…

…as I kind of figured it is a little bulky for a pistol. I never intended it to remain a pistol anyway…so I began making a “flat bar” shoulder stock out of some scrap aluminum I had laying around and a wood piece I had left over from a FX bottle cover stock…

I have to admit, as much as I appreciate some of the amazing wood stocks out there…my first love with pcp’s was our beloved Airforce rifles and now that I have had the opportunity to own nearly a dozen different pcp’s…I have to admit, my first love is still my current love (bottom line: Airforce rifles RULE!)

Most of my rifles/carbines are black…sooooooooooooooo, I want to turn this Walnut stock black as well. A certain part of me says that this is “sacrilege” and should not be done 😥 The other side of me says, “this is my gun and I can do what I want to it”! Maybe even drill out some holes to add that “tacticl look” to the wood 😈

Since the shoulder stock wood is laminate, and does not match the walnut, it will be turned “tactical”. The aluminum bars will be powdercoated black as will be the aluminim cheek riser (not yet attached in the pictures).

So what do you guys think. Should I go for it?

The hardware in the photos is only temporary. I will get some stainless or perhaps “black” hardware when it is done.
