Q:

Pictures of my .257 DYOTAT AIRMAX….

Well, not quite. But pictures of the beginnings of it at least. Doug is working on my valve and barrel. It will feature a one or two piece custom barrel bushing, custom hammer, custom breech, and a custom frame extension (since this frame is so short {it was modified in the past}) that will also serve to support the barrel. The extension will have holes drilled in the side in the look (traditon) of a machine gun “heat shield”. I will most likely paint this on OD green and black, or desert tan and black. I don’t think “frame flex” will be an issue. I was going to go with a 53ci tank, but I would rather use the mad dog stock, plus I have a guppy tank that I will be able to foster connect to when shooting. Came up with the “Airmax” name once I saw the name on my sneaker. Unintentional but fitting!

80, is that a custom frame?

I’m trying to find where they filled in the breach area but it’s not real clear in the photos…

Don Thompson (TOG) modified it. Here is a picture of the other side…

Where did you get that awesome shoepod?

At the Nike outlet store. It was on sale, I got two of them for 80.00!

Can you post a pic of the other side of the gun? Thanks

Here you go Doug. Don T (the gent who modded it) said he machined the top piece, and cut a piece of aluminum to fill in the left side. I never did find out how he filled it in but it is very smooth and he may have welded it (carefully) in place. Can’t be sure though….
