Pistol Grip Mystery Hole
On the bottom of my pistol grip there is a lined hole, see attached foto. On the inside of the barrel channel there is a similar hole that is lined with the same kind of fitting. It looks like they are threaded. Does anyone know what they are for? Thanks…………….Paul

I know that my .25 WB has two stock screws. A longer M6 bolt goes thru that hole and threads to the underside of the scope rail. The new WB version has two bolts for stock attachment.

Sorry, I couldn’t see from your pic, there should be one hex bolt right through with a t-nut on the inside under the action !

I see, do you have the new cricket, they have a wider clamps 1 1/8″ wide old was 3/4″ ?

If so, you can unscrew the trigger rail off, and the pistol grip has a bolt that screw on the trigger rail as a second point of securing to the action so the back end of the stock is more secure.
I would contact Steve at WWAG to get a bolt or equivalent.

There was never a hex screw or any other kind of screw in the hole.
Don’t loosen this hex screw, its for strengthening the wood cross grain. Without this the wood can be easier broken and or cracking.
But on the newer cricket with wider frame band supports, I’m not sure if it may be used for a secondary point of fixing the stock to the action ?

Hello. I am looking for opinions on the best thumb hole / pistol grip stock. I will be shooting this particular build at paper only, at a bench (front rest and rear bag), 50 to 100 yards. I have come across several models, but most seem designed for off hand shooting. Your time and thoughts are appreciated.
