Placed an order for Airwolf MCT Tactical .22 this morning
So excited! Cant wait til it gets here =)
I sold all my rifles and shrunk my arsenal down to one Rifle – Edgun Matador.
I had my eye on Daystate Airwolf for a while and I just couldn’t wait any longer. Matador needs a friend.
Talked to Jim and Nancy at Precision Airguns and they had one left in stock. They are great to talk and deal with. Already got my invoice and tracking number.
It should be here this Friday. I cant wait to get some numbers from the chrony, mount SWFA SS 16×42 on it and watch pellets fly! Yahoooo!

thanks again anyway. i have thought about trying a tin of the 28 gr round nose EJ’s because like you i have also read that the pointed nose pellets in general are just not as accurate as round nose ones. but i hate to buy a tin and find out the problem persists, especially since the JSB Monsters shoot so well.

I have yet to see the heaviest for caliber EJ pellets shoot in anything well.
Maybe it is the pointed nose, perhaps round nose 28’s in 22 and 38’s in 25 would shoot better.
No need to repay, it just saves us all from having a bunch of pellets laying around we don’t use, and others get to try them without paying for a full box and the freight to get them acrossed the country.

Charlie, sorry i hadn’t posted sooner about that. the power was WAY up there but wouldn’t group but about 1 inch at 50 yards and the JSB Monsters( 25 grains, so a little less power) were shooting 1/2 inch and much flatter out to 100 yards. plan on sticking with the Monsters. they won’t fit in the magazine(of course the Eun Jins wouldn’t either) so i have to single load them but not a big deal. thanks again for your sending them FREE and if there is a favor i can repay, consider it done!!!

well, can’t say i am surprised by the review. best explanation i know of why i sold my other air rifles and bought my Wolf. absolutely super air rifle and worth every penny. my only wish is that Daystate would come out with an MCT/electronic version of the Air Ranger. if and when that occurs, my AR 80(.22) will go up for sale, although it is also a tack driving hammer but without the electronic guts that make the AW so much fun.

AOA are good people nothing but nice things to say about them.
What is the difference in .25 an .22 in noise + grouping.
For me it is important that it also groups well at 100 yards (and I mean groups less then 1.5 inch, yes it is up to the shooter, but the guns can in .22 but in .25?)
Can you show us some groups at 50y and 100y?
any idea what the difference is between the Mark 5 and the Mark 4 silencer? i have the Mark 4 on mine and it differently reduced the noise level. just wondered what daystate has done to change the design. the exterior definitely looks the same

Got my Airstream MK5 the other day. VERY VERY big difference in sound! Especially on High Power.
Unfortunately I dont have anywhere to shoot past 40 yards for now. =(

Oh, I know that – not a great time to buy what is, let’s be honest, a very expensive toy.
I should be back in a month or less but can sell it and ship it any time before or after then.

He has them in 30, 40, 50, and 60 fps settings. More power, more noise. He even has one in 80 fpe but .25 caliber. Shot count drops like a rock with each increase in power.
Is yours quiet? I almost ordered one myself. Ambi-stock, tactical, what’s not to like, other than the $2700 bones to buy one.
Seems to me that 30 ft lbs is plenty for what we generally shoot around here. Some of the boys out West in the desert, and high plains, probably have a good reason for excess power/range.

For three more grains, when monsters shoot so well, I doubt the 28 grain EJ’s would be worth it. I am ot so sure of EJ’s quality control.
I just sent some Monsters to Hoot to try in his Prod, he wantd a few more FPE and that is a sure way to get it.
