Q:

playing in the wind

I was bored this morning so I decided to play for a while.

This first pic is at 100 yards, 9mph cross wind.

10 rounds. 5 Kodiaks – 5 pred’d .22 from 18″ lapped bbl. and condor valve in the Talon SS.

Yep, there are only six holes. I was very surprised to see the two types of pellets group so close to gather. The Kodiaks were a bit lower and to the left a bit more. They had apx. 1″ less wind deflection.

I am looking forward to your barrel lapping sticky. Want to do the trigger mods on my Condor, and when I have it apart, it would be the perfect time to lap the barrel.

Lama, You ain’t right! 😀

Thanks Guys!

I just can’t get over how close the 21 gr. Kods and 16 gr. Pred’s were together. Yeah baby!!!
About those orange dots. I try to miss them as much as possible. They last a lot longer that way. 😆

Velocity of the kod’s is right at 990 with the pred’s going over 1080. Way faster than what they are supposed to be able to shoot accurately!

I had the gun sighted at a 40 yard zero for these groups. I normally have it at 5o yards.

Yep It’s tuned by KnifeMaker! 😀 Very little trigger work. Polished bbl. in the breach area. Polished valve retainer.but the biggest improvement came with lapping the bbl.

In the next few days I am going to post a how too on how I lap the bbl’s. WOK has agreed to make it a sticky, as I get both PM’s and
e-mails asking how to do it.

Awesome shooting, man I wish I had that kind of space at my disposal to shoot!

Great shootin’, but I woulda held left a bit and made that orange sticker cry Uncle. 😉

Nice groups knifemaker.

Nice shooting!

At first I thought it said “peeing in the wind” and I thought it was going to be a horrible post. 😀

Good shooting though. 🙂

Is your gun tuned? and how many FPS were you shooting at, and very nice shooting 😉

great shooting.

You and me both Mike. Nice grouping @ 55 by the way!

So who says that Our guns are crude and cant’ be made to shoot! Just a little TLC and they can Kick Ass! 😛

The group using two different weight and types of .22 pellets is under 2″ at it’s widest point!

I love these guns! 😀

Mike

This next pic is 6 rounds. (I had one called flier). 4 in one hole with one opening up the group by 1/4 inch for a total of 1/2″. the first 4 went slightly under 1/4″. This was in the same 9mph cross wind.

These Kodiaks Kick Butt! 😈 at 55 yards
