Please check my numbers

I was bored. Don’t know if I have this figured correctly or not. Here goes…….25 cal. is 41.25% larger diameter than .177 / .22 cal. is 24.3% larger diameter than .177 / .20 cal. is 13% larger diameter than .177 / .25 cal. is 13.65% larger diameter than .22 cal. Are my numbers correct?

That’s pretty logical.
Weight is proportional to volume, the volume of say a cilinder is Pi*(radius of base)^2*height.
So if you increase your diameter by 25%, you increase the radius by 25%, so your new radius is 1.25*old radius, square that, and you have 1,5625.
Factor in the extra height as well, and you have twice as much weight.

*edit* these calculations are for a cilinder, so they’re bound to be a bit off 😀

Using my numbers. I get a big jump in the Beeman Kodiak in .22 compared to .177 / 21.1 Gr. Vs. 10.6 Gr. I’m gaining almost 100% in weight for less than 25% in diameter.
