Q:

Please Help! Wrong Silicone.

I went to the diver’s shop and was given a silicone that was too viscous. Now the gun barely shoots at the lowest power setting. My tank is at 3000 psi. Does anyone know the best way to clean this out?

I put just a hint of divers silicone on the side of the top hat and behind the hammer on the barrel when closed. Just a touch and no more. I figure the action, usage and gravity will distribute it.

Since dust etc. can get lodge in the silicone I clean it with my finger from time to time and apply another very light coat.

…I just contacted airforce and I have to send it in. They said the lubricant got into the trigger group and if I proceed any further, I will void the warranty. It’s only a few months old.

Then you might as well send it in.

Read the manual, study the DVD and follow ONLY Airforce rec’ded procedures until the warranty is over.

LMAO! Waltor the A.F. warranty is for………..

So cleaning the gun voids the warranty? WOW. Just take it apart. Clean the trigger pieces and put it back together. There are some real good trigger diagrams on here. Actually easier than taking out the barrel and internals.

You have to slide the breach handle to one side. You could also take the barrel out and wipe it down. Take a .22 swab and go around the inside of the breech.

Please explain exactly what you did to your gun. If the hammer won’t cock you have a trigger group problem?

Diver’s silicone should only be used on the O-rings in the breech and HI Flo valve..!

Sam ❓

The bolt just slides back and never engages the trigger.

How can I get in there to wipe it out? Is there a way to dismantle it or should I just keep working it?

wipe it out then varsol or brake cleaner?

wiped out real good likely fine.
