Polishing baffle/shroud internals
Would polishing baffle or internals workings of the shroud improve noise reduction? Has anyone tried this?

I don’t see how this would make any noticeable difference. The intent of a shroud is to slow the air blast. If the internals are polished air will just move quicker over them?
