Power settings and how…
Often do you use them? I’m still fairly new to the airgun world and haven’t really found all these different power settings useful. It’s cool but not a must for me. The first gun I bought that came with power settings was the Airwolf. We’re talking about 220 fps difference between low and high. I rarely change my settings. Once I’ve determined range and accuracy on high it changes slightly on low obviously and I need to recalculate again and that’s with a gun that has 2 settings. I also own the FX 500 and recently found out that the new FX has 3 settings! Really? I understand some of you might say it’s nice to have for plinking or reducing the loss of air but if I’m plinking I want to know the power, accuracy and consistency of my rifle. I won’t even begin with the Daystate CDT. Please tell me where you would use this feature.

Exactly! Choose a different gun or possibly grain. I just don’t see the benefits of choosing power. Sounds like a selling gimmick to me.
I set the gun up and leave it alone! if I want to shoot at a different speed/power then I grab a different one 😉

When I got my AA400 I did not opt for the power adjuster from Pomona Airguns. Steve at Pomona even told me…. “You probably wont even use it” and he was correct.
Now on my Talon I only turn it down if I am paper in the back yard at 15 yards. Otherwise I never turn it down.
