Just removed a rat with a 177 Predator in a Talon SS 12″ 2600psi… and it was instantly dead with a center mass shot. A crow magnum doesn’t act as fast as the predator.

I think the crow mag leaves a lot of energy on penetration and while it continues deeper its not as devastating as the predator.

I really like this pellet!

They are unbelievable on squirrels! I have never seen anything hit a squirrel so hard. I use them in my talon ss .22 at the feeder. They go past sound barrier in condor and do not want to turn down.

Send Two! 😉

If they preformed as well in .25 as they do in .22, they would be my go to pellet!

Yep Knife
25 poly tips would be the ticket!!!!!!!
Let us hope they decide to make them
I think I need to shoot them a encouraging e-mail

Just received the 177 preds. At 20 yards, in the rain, I was grouping 3/4″ without a bench rest… just a supported left elbow. That’s as good as I can shoot in that position with my favorite pellets (kodiak/barracuda). Talon SS 12″ @ 2600psi PW4.0

The skirts are well formed, the tip is centered, and I can see no flaws with a quick inspection of a couple of dozen pellets.

So far so good.

I’ve ordered some 177 predators. I’ll write a quick review once I’ve test fired some.

TOny,

Those pellets are awesome period. Like the JSB exacts, they are just about accurate in any gun and caliber. I’ve shot them extensively in .20 and .22 and they are the most accurate HP pellet in my guns too date.

And, they perform just like advertised, the polytip helps with aerodynamics and penetration and expansion….just like NOSLER ballistic tips from which i’m sure they were copied.

THEY WORK!

And yes, they are expensive but, they are HUNTING PELLETS and not plinking pellets so, if you use them strictly for hunting quarry, the price isn’t so bad.

Check these detailed review comparing the predator to the crow magnum…

When they first came out, some batches has some what loose fitting of the poly tip to the pellet nose. They were a bit erratic at longer ranges. I haven’t come across this problem in the last year or so.

They really help put game down quicker in the .22. (Never tried .177)

Now if they would just make them in .25! 😉

Tony , I use the Predator Polytip in .22 in my stock Condor with a 12” barrel and a GTBJ shroud for my pigeon removal job. They are very accurate in all my guns . I love them! Birds Don’t !

Take Care, Bob

Well I am about to finish assembling my latest Condor config.

Had my 24″ .22 LW barrel remachined to 17″ (thanks Walter) this will allow for the use of a SS endcap also with my 858cc main airtank (thanks again Walter). 😀

I hope to have a high shot yield set up pushing Predators around 1000 fps with my 100 gram hammer after I turn down the tophat a little. Also going to use a smaller scope (3X9 qd scoperings) for the lighter more compact .22 config as the 10-40X50 is going to have 20mm quick detachable 20mm scope rings for when I swap back to my .25 LW barrel setup.

Will post some stats and pics later of using the Predators on gophers.

Randy 😈

I dont know about others, but I have found the Predator Pellets to be stable at higher speeds than other pellets.

For example, when my Condor was .22, I could regularly keep 5 shot US Quarter sized groups out to 50 yards with them at speeds approaching 1200fps….

…and of course, they are devastating on game.

That is awesome 😀

Best hunting pellet for tough to take down prey.

Tony,

In the last week there have been some very graphic photo’s of them used on birds. It is like they got hit with a 22 lr. or a 17 hmr.
