Q:

Problem with Airhog shroud

I bought a used “Airhog” Condor .22 and I don’t have the manual or the CD, etc.

The problem I have is that the shroud is rattling. It is loose. Everytime I pick up the gun or tap on the frame lightly, I hear clicking coming from inside the shroud. Previous owner said it should not be loose at all and advised tightening the last hex screw at the end of the frame.

Well I have 2 sets of allen keys but none of them fit. Are these metric screws and can you please tell me what size they are? I don’t want to shoot the gun until I get the shroud secured in place to avoid clipping.

thanks
Harry

I tried 3/32″ hex wrench and it’s too small. I then tried 1/8″ (which is 4/32″) and it’s too big.

So by process of elimination, it has to be 7/64″.

Thanks for the info Yellow..!

I ‘m pretty sure it’s not a pellet fragment. I can feel the shroud touching the barrel. I can even grab the shroud and move it slightly and feel it hit the barrel.

The screws that come with the gun are 10-32 and take a 3/32 Hex wrench.

The screw could just be really loose allowing the shroud to rattle in the frame, if after tightening it still rattles then Hold the gun upside down and jiggle it a bit – See if anything falls out, might be a bit of pellet rattling around, which could be caused by a loose set screw allowing the shroud to tilt and clip a pellet.
