Problems with R3M
Hi, I have recently received my R3M directly from Ed.
In setting it up I have encountered a serious problem. The gun is going off at random without being anywhere near the trigger. The cocking process seems very weird also. The bolt will not easily stay back and the magazines do not seem to cycle very well. The gun will also discharge with no mag loaded when the bolt/probe is engaged.
I have got a .25 cal and I notice that there is only room in the frame to stow 3 mags – rather than 4 – is that correct?
What really worries me though is the random discharging of the gun. I will not be using it until I get this problem fixed.
I am doing something wrong? Even if so, a problem like this should not be able to occur – for safety’s sake…
I have emailed Ed about it but no reply yet.
Has anyone else encountered this issue please? I am following procedures in the Manual.
I am in the UK and wonder if there is anyone who I could speak to about getting this ironed out.
After all the excitement about getting the gun this is a big downer. :3:

I should have said tighten! I have given the screw a couple anticlockwise turns. I read in the manual where it said that too loose a trigger screw can result in gun going off if bumped. Mine was discharging even with slightest movement. Scary.
I think that may have fixed it.
Will report back later when I have a chance to test fire.

Try to play with it, you will know when it is very light the gun will not cock
I havnt touched the trigger adjustment – it is how it came out of the box…
If it is too light the bolt won’t cock.
Maybe this is your problem as you mentioned that the bolt won’t stay back easily, try to play with the trigger adjustment screw.

Yours will probably be the newer one with one adjustment screw, but the principle is still the same
Sound like Mongo the Mangler in UK customs has had a ‘play’ 👿 ,as Ed sets these triggers heavy before sending them out.
