Deal fell through, got 2 different stories. now it seems the filter tower has 0 hrs and the compressor was rebuilt 2 1/2 yrs ago.

Sorry to hear that, somebody probably offered him more money for it, I have lost out on a couple of Craigslist deals myself after they said to come over and pick it up, not that it matters but the 2 stickers on the filter tower do show signs of wear.

Yep, that would instantly triple the cost.

The only thing I would be worried about is how many pressure cycles and the fill pressures the existing filter has experienced. If it was just for 3,000 psi SCUBA tanks, you’re probably home free. If they were filling to higher pressures, then the filter housing lifespan might be iffy. Hopefully, the seller can tell you that info.

Yup the 330 bar unit has a cycle life of 4500 hrs if run at max 4700. The 225 bar unit cycle life 63,000hr wow big difference.

The compressor in Baytown has the water seperator but no filter, I would have bought the one you did.

Better condition might mean more than five hours of refurb work saved. Still a better bet than an Airmax Extreme.

There’s another Bauer over in Baytown Tx that looks in better shape for $600 but that’s a 5 hr round trip yuck. It has a electric motor on it.

Cool. We’ll be following your progress.
