Purchasing SS
OK, I am going to pull the trigger on (buy) a Talon SS. I am not very mechanical inclined (if you put a hammer in my hand, everything looks like a nail to me), so if I start messin’ with the hard hat, PW, hammer etc. I will end up with a very expensive boat anchor. I’m thinking maybe I should probably buy the SS and just shoot it for at factory settings, then send it off and have it professional set up. On the other hand, maybe it should just have it set up professionally at the time I buy the SS. Any suggestions?
If I decide to just to have it professionally set up, who do I go to? I have seen references to various people, who are they and how do I contact them and can they sell the SS to me direct or do I have to purchase one and send it to them?

I bought a condor .22 over 2 years ago. Used Co2 up till about four months ago. Moved up to high pressure air. That has a learning curve or better put has a bell curve and a sweet spot. 2600 psi to prevent valve lock?
Just last month I turned the top hat down one turn to conserve air. Only mod made to the gun in the little more than 2 years.
Co2 typically doesn’t shoot as hard as hpa so you poi will be Lower compared to hpa. (using the same pellet)
I am very happy with my condor. Remember once you go mod you will never go back and it never ever Ends ? I think it has something to do with the dark Side )))))))————————–}> 😯 😕 😆
Thank you all for your imput. Just a couple of quick questions: Who is Don G and how do I get in touch with him? Do you need to make adjustments to the SS when switching from HPA to CO2?

Before I got my TSS as a used gun via a dealer, I planned to get it tuned and after sending it out to aiforce to fix the guns issues such as a bad valve etc after getting in back in under two weeks, and in top shape I plan to leave it stock, 20 fpe with heavies is all I need and I got a shroud via Don G here on the forum and it rocks. Get yours first and test drive it before you think about tuning it. Also note you will void the Airforce limetime warranty, which can come in handy.

Dude, before you plan six moves ahead, get the gun in your hands and try it out first.
You might be perfectly satisfied with what ya got.
Of course, after you’ve done a number of perfect appendectomies on frogs from 30 yards or so, you might become dissatisfied and choose to start tinkering with your gun. 😆 😉
I know what you mean, I’m just like you, except I’m a hammer that actively seeks out nails, and I don’t care if I bend a few… 😆
Anyway, the variables with this gun are immense. Just get a fresh one, OEM stock, shoot the hell out of it for a bit and see what it’s like, then take it from there. If you go for an immediate custom tune without experiencing the OEM performance, you’ll never know the diff, so you’ll never appreciate the diff.

Buy it already setup…You would eventually get
it done anyway….Then you have exactly what you want…
Think about an 18″ barrel with a shroud too for more
power and accuracy and still just as quiet…If you’re just gonna
use it backyard then just stay with the 12″. It shoots very well
out to 50 yds
