question about oem shroud on bug?

Got a new 22 bug coming, shroud doesn’t have holes in the rear? Do only the 25’s have the holes? Been trying to find an old post, where Hoot described drilling holes in an ed gun shroud or enlarging them. Would this help or hurt in sound reduction? Need advice or direction to an old post. Did old 22’s come with holes in shroud?

I have a .22 bug and I’m not lying without any holes in the shroud it’s quieter than my edgun…I even have a NC carbon fiber shroud and it’s still quieter than his

I don’t feel the need to still any holes in the shroud.
